LAUREL, Mont. — Five people were transported to the hospital Wednesday after a BMW collided with an ambulance.
The crash occurred when a BMW driver ran a red light and hit the front end of an AMR ambulance.
The ambulance was transporting an 84-year-old patient and the patient’s daughter, along with two AMR employees.
The ambulance was not using its lights or sirens at the time of the collision, reported the Billings Gazette.
All four individuals in the ambulance and the driver of the BMW were transported to the hospital.
Officials said the driver of the vehicle will likely be cited, although the investigation is ongoing.
