HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. — Four EMTs were transported to the hospital after two ambulances collided while en route to a call.
The News Enterprise reported that the Hardin County EMS ambulances were on their way to a swift water rescue when one ambulance was called to return, according to EMS director Bryce Shumate.
Shumate said that the returning ambulance was “sideswiped” by the other ambulance.
All four EMTs were transported to the hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, according to Kentucky State Police Public Affairs Officer Jeff Gregory.
Shumate said he did not know details about their injuries, but that at least two of the EMTs were “pretty banged up.”
