ASSUMPTION PARISH, La. — Two paramedics were injured Saturday after their ambulance collided with another vehicle.
The Advocate reported that the paramedics were transporting a patient when the crash occurred, according to Acadian Ambulance Operations Manager Justin Cox.
Cox said one paramedic was released from the hospital the same day, but the other remained in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
One patient was transported via helicopter from the crash scene; the condition of the patient who was in the ambulance was not released.
The crash is currently under investigation.
