CONCORD, N.C. — A funeral for a paramedic who was shot and killed by her husband is set for Friday afternoon.

WSOCTV reported that a large procession and funeral will take place for Rebekah Hart-O’Sullivan, who was allegedly killed by her husband, Patrick O’Sullivan, after a domestic dispute at their home.

The funeral will be held at Concord First Assembly Church, with the procession arriving at 4:30 p.m., visitation beginning at 5 p.m. and the funeral beginning at 7 p.m.

O’Sullivan has been charged with murder and was read the charges against him at his first court appearance Thursday.

“Rebekah had a strong commitment to her co-workers and was dedicated to serving the people of Mecklenburg County,” Mecklenburg EMS Agency executive director Joe Penner said. “Her absence will leave an empty space in the hearts of our employees, her friends and family for many years to come.”
