YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Four ambulance companies that serve the southeast portion of York County are combining forces to improve service, an official said.
“The plan is, we’ll all be (part of) Southern York County Emergency Management System,” said Alex Christ, who will be the new agency’s EMS manager. “The point of doing this is to make the operations more efficient, and to increase the availability of services.”
Delta-Cardiff Ambulance, Brogue Ambulance, Fawn Grove Ambulance and Medic 95 — a joint medic venture between Delta-Cardiff and Fawn Grove ambulances — will transition to one regionalized service, according to Christ, who currently serves with Delta-Cardiff Ambulance.
