NJ EMT plays cop on HBO series ‘The Leftovers’

Adrian Matilla played a police officer in the show; he’s worked for three years at a Jersey City EMS agency while honing his acting career

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A Jersey City EMT played a cop on the HBO series “The Leftovers” Sunday night.

Adrian Matilla, an EMT for Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health, and an aspiring actor played a police officer in the neighborhood where the main character Police Chief Kevin Garvey lives nj.com reports.

Matilla, 30, appeared in the episode, “The Garveys at Their Best.”

“Playing these roles gives me a good sign I’m going in the right direction,” he said.

Matilla recently starred along Donnie Wahlberg on the CBS drama, “Blue Bloods” and has also appeared on “Law & Order: SVU,” “Person of Interest” and “Power.”
