v3.1 offers features and enhancements for scheduling, billing and reporting optimization
Briarcliff Manor, NY — Digitech Computer, Inc., a leading provider of billing solutions for the EMS industry, today announced that it has released the newest version of its Ambulance Commander (tm), version 3.1.
Ambulance Commander provides such integrated features as call-taking, GPS vehicle tracking, digital dispatching, security and HIPAA-compliant Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance electronic invoicing. It also enables clients to maintain real-time access to all of its billing data and financial reports via a secured Internet connection.
Ambulance Commander v3.1 provides optimized scheduling, billing and reporting with a variety of tools and enhancements. Additionally, hot keys, right-click capabilities and extra buttons make the system faster and more efficient.
“We have developed Ambulance Commander Version 3.1 in direct response to our clients’ feedback. The call taking, dispatch and billing process is even more seamless for the user. Additionally, our own billing department recommended certain enhancements based on what they knew would work. The system is extremely user-friendly,” said Mark Schiowitz, Digitech president.
New tools include:
* The Forecasting Tool, which allows call takers to quickly schedule future appointments without combining existing orders. The grid shows both standing order appointments and previously scheduled appointments in a centralized location. The user can then schedule/edit calls and add/edit standing orders.
* The Quick Search Tool enables users to search for and filter previously entered appointments by date or date range and quickly update them. Users can then change the call taker status, cancel, delete or recall appointments and edit calls.
New features include:
* Odometer Readings in Digital Dispatch Systems can be recorded on a transport from the “Vehicle” or “Trips” screens, automatically calculating mileage for the transport.
* Trip and Dollar Dump enables all system information to be exported into a spreadsheet for customized reporting. Such information includes call taking data, trip dispatching, billing and collections.
* Vehicle Crew Shifts allow crew shift end times to be entered in the “Vehicle Detail” form. This alerts dispatchers of an approaching shift end.
* The Pre-Complete Timestamp indicates that a patient is at destination and no longer in the care of the EMT/paramedic. It also indicates that the transport vehicle is not ready to begin the next transport, because the EMT/paramedic is finalizing paperwork for that transport.
* Vehicle Additional Crew enables the assignment of up to eight crew members to a vehicle. If a vehicle has a crew larger than two, the “Vehicle Additional Crew” button may be used to assign them to a vehicle.
