September 26, 2006, Washington, D.C. - The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International today reiterated its support of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) new Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau. The FCC presented the plan for the new bureau at their Open Commission Meeting today.
“APCO International congratulates the commission on the creation of the new Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau, which should lead to effective and efficient consideration of public safety communications matters,” APCO International President Wanda McCarley said. “We look forward to working closely with the new bureau.”
