LAKEVILLE, MN – ImageTrend’s Patient Tracking system was put into action in a successful emergency drill with Southwest General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, which was featured on the Ohio Channel 3 News on Saturday, April 18 (watch the clip and view photos on WKYC’s website) and also on the front page of Cleveland’s Sun News on April 23rd. The drill simulated a flooding and wall collapse situation requiring treatment and coordination of over 30 patients.

“The ImageTrend system then saves lives and reconnects loved ones, by efficiently and effectively managing major incidents.”
-Albert Matyas, Southwest General Hospital, on WKYC News April 18

The drill included tagging, scanning and transporting the simulated patients. The Patient Tracking system successfully recorded and retrieved patient information based on barcode scanning and information entered by the first responders.

Hospitals in the State of Ohio recently implemented ImageTrend’s Patient Tracking system. This Web-based application connects first responders, hospitals and patients’ families by tracking patients from initial assessment, through transport and to the hospital at which they are treated. In addition to the Web-based component, the system includes a mobile application that can be used on mobile phones and barcode scanners for first responders to send important patient data to the database for other health care professionals.

The Patient Tracking system is currently implemented in Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Washington.
