In this session, the participant will learn about the two most common categories of seizure -- febrile and chronic -- and how to differentiate between the two. Knowing which seizure type is presenting in this patient can increase the quality of care provided to the child and their parent of caregiver. Creating an efficient and effective process to assess and treat the victim of a seizure increases the child’s potential for a rapid return to their normal state. The session also emphasizes the critical provisions of care including A,B,C’s which translates to Airway, Breathing, Circulation, and suction.
