NAPLES, Fla. — Tempers are flaring again between local fire departments and the medical director of Collier County’s Emergency Medical Services with requests for reprimands and one censure letter over a cheating accusation.
The East Naples and North Naples fire departments also released on Friday the preliminary findings of an outside investigation that says no cheating occurred in May by their firefighters on medications’ protocol tests administered by Dr. Robert Tober, with EMS.
The fire departments hired local attorney Donald Day and his partners to carry out the investigation, which involved interviewing firefighters but the report is preliminary because Tober still has the actual exams administered in May.
