SNOW HILL, N.C. — A N.C. EMT and paramedic were injured on Sunday when their ambulance, returning from dropping off a cardiac patient, overturned.
Emergency crews responding to the incident found an overturned Wayne County ambulance with two first responders with non-life threatening injuries inside, reported WITN.
One of the injured, also a Pink Hill Fire and Rescue department officer, has a C1 fracture and three broken ribs, according to a department Facebook post.
The ambulance left the road, struck a ditch and turned onto its side. There was significant damage to the vehicle.
