Ambu Releases SmartBaby, a New Infant CPR Simulation Training System

SmartBaby Teaches How To Perform Proper Pediatric Chest Compressions, Ventilations and CPR

Ballerup, Denmark - Ambu SmartMan is releasing SmartBaby, a new infant BLS CPR manikin training sytem that simulates a baby up to one year in age. Ambu’s SmartBaby manikin is complete with a patented hygienic system to eliminate the risk of cross infections and provides easy maintenance and internal cleaning. The manikin is fully compliant with Guidelines 2010.

The Ambu SmartBaby provides practice and test activities for the following CPR skills: chest compressions, ventilations, 1 Person CPR (30:2) and 2 Person CPR (15:2). There is a “standard” training mode with real-time visual color feedback turned on and an “advanced” test training mode with visual feedback turned off for a truly accurate and objective score.

SmartBaby software was developed by V4EMS and has the same look and feel as the current SmartMan and Airway Smart Man, featuring the hallmark SmartMan colored bars. It provides full results detailing all CPR activities by displaying them onscreen and can be saved and printed.

According to SmartMan Director Eric Fruitman, “SmartBaby is much anticipated and a great new addition to the line of SmartMan’s leading manikin training systems.”

The Ambu SmartBaby manikin will be available for shipping in May 2012.
