BUSINESS WIRE
HOUSTON — Telemedicus, Inc. (OTC:TMDI) announced new plans for a particular configuration of the DREAMS™ technology that can be easily installed in remote medical clinics or dislocated fixed facilities and rural emergency care clinics.
“Remote medical clinics provide care for episodic non-life threatening medical conditions where a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant may provide care with physician oversight through the Telemedicus DREAMS™ Technology,” said Mr. Tommy Cloud, CEO Telemedicus.
Telemedicus’ Disaster Relief and Emergency Medical Services DREAMS™ technology turns practically any ambulance or medical transportation vehicle into a mobile trauma center. The doctor can see the patient through high definition video, along with a live feed of all vital signs, and is able to provide treatment immediately via instruction to the medical technician.
The design and development of the new fixed facility platform will be performed by Texas A&M, the original developers of the DREAMS™ technology.
The DREAMS™ technology was developed by the University of Texas and Texas A&M University. DREAMS™ is the latest generation of mobile medical communication technology that allows a doctor to be “virtually on board” the ambulance or medi-flight as the patient is transported to the hospital.
The next generation of medical technology is coming to your neighborhood where a patient will be treated through the Telemedicus DREAMS™ technology.
Mr. Cloud explained, “In the near future we can envision a new generation of medical robotics developed by companies like Hansen Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ: HNSN) or Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISRG) controlled by a remote physician through our DREAMS™ technology.”
