2007 Annual Stockholders’ meeting to be held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on December 4, 2007
BUSINESS WIRE
LOS ANGELES — Platforms Wireless International Corporation (Pink Sheets:PLFM) (www.plfm.net), announced today that it has scheduled its 2007 Annual Stockholders Meeting on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. The meeting will commence at 1 p.m. PST and is only open to stockholders of record as of November 2, 2007.
Platforms also announced that the payload for its RECOM-911™ Rapid Response Emergency Communications System, the Company’s emergency communications central product, is currently undergoing checkout and testing procedures at the Company’s Ontario facility (see photograph), in anticipation of planned tests and demonstrations.
The first “Military” version of the ROSETTA-911™ Interoperable Radio/Cellular Communications System was completed and delivered in September 2007.
The “Commercial” version of the ROSETTA-911™ Interoperable Radio/Cellular Communications System was exhibited at the “Golden Phoenix Disaster Exercise” in July. The System was on display at the Los Alamitos Incident Command Post, manned by Platforms’ military systems strategic partner, who reported considerable interest in the ROSETTA-911™ System.
The Golden Phoenix Disaster Relief Training Exercise involved more than 1,000 personnel from over 50 different local, state, and federal disaster response agencies, who joined with reserve units of the United States Marine Corps in a collaborative training event in the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas. The training exercise took place over an eight-day period in July with control for the disaster response operations provided by a Unified Command Post at the California National Guard Joint Forces Training Base at Los Alamitos. The Golden Phoenix exercise simulated the effects of a magnitude 7.9 earthquake in Southern California and provided civilian first responders the opportunity to train with military personnel and assets that could be deployed during such a devastating event and provided an excellent opportunity for companies like Platforms Wireless to display their products to these essential agencies.
Also, in September, the ROSETTA-911™ System was exhibited at the “Bold Quest” military exercise at the Army’s National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California. The exercise examined 16 cooperative and non-cooperative combat identification technologies with the participation of nine NATO/ISAF coalition nations and the U.S. SOCOM -- the Unified Command for the worldwide use of Special Operations elements of the Army, Navy, Air Forces and Marine Corps. The exercise included 820 player personnel, 45 ground vehicles, 40 aircraft, and more than 1000 additional support personnel and its associated exhibit area provided another opportunity to display Platforms Wireless ROSETTA-911™ technology.
The RECOM-911™ and ROSETTA-911™ Systems are currently being marketed to the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and all branches of the military. The ROSETTA-911™ System is also being marketed to critical-incident first-response organizations, including law-enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, and various civilian and security organizations that depend on radio communications to perform their work. In line with this marketing strategy, the System is being featured and exhibited at major military trade shows, conventions, and field training exercises, such as the recently completed Golden Phoenix and Operation Bold Quest Training Exercises.
In other news, Platforms Wireless announced that its independent auditor, Farber Hass Hurley & McEwen LLP, has reported that it expects to complete its audit of the Company’s financial statements through FYE June 30, 2007 by the time of the Annual Stockholders Meeting. Upon completion of the 2007 audit, and issuance of interim financial statements, the Company intends to prepare and file its registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a prerequisite to becoming a fully-reporting company, and thereafter seek to become eligible for quotation on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board.
