HOUSTON, Texas – The recent appointment of Scott Skibness to Vice President of Sales and subsequent staffing announcements signal a period of high growth for Tait Radio Communications North America said company officials this week. Skibness will oversee the entire U.S. and Canadian sales team, which includes Regional Sales Managers and Dealers of Tait’s line of products; two new Regional Sales Managers, John DeGirolamo and Jonathon Epstein will lead sales in their respective territories. According to Bill Fredrickson, President, the additions to its North American sales force were necessary for the growth and expansion needed to meet increasing market demands for its products.
Prior to his appointment at Tait, Skibness was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for VisionTEK, a market leader in providing software solutions to government agencies for mobile data, message switching and database integration. During his tenure there, Skibness helped secure over $5 million in sales revenue in one year, which more than doubled the company’s previous sales revenue record. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota and is currently a council member for Gerson Lehrman Group Technology Council where he provides information on the latest industry trends, products, services and developments to business and investment leaders.
Skibness says it was Tait’s product line and growth opportunities that attracted him to accept his new position with the company. “It was an exciting opportunity to come into an organization that’s currently growing and expanding in the U.S. and Canada. I saw it as a perfect fit for me,” he says. “Tait’s products are being greatly accepted in the market; they’re emerging as a new player in the utility and public safety industry.”
John DeGirolamo, Tait’s new Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast Region, brings a wealth of experience to his role. DeGirolamo has over 20 years of experience in the land mobile radio and utility marketplace. His region includes Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
Jonathan Epstein joins Tait as Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest Region which includes Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri. Jonathan brings with him over 10 years of proven strategic, complex and technical sales experience in the wireless and enterprise software sectors.
