EFJohnson Subsidiary is Shipping Enhanced Voting Capability
IRVING, Tex. – EFJ, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFJI) announced today that its EFJohnson subsidiary has introduced an advanced Voter capability to its Conventional IP25™ Infrastructure System. The IP25 Voter helps correct the imbalance caused by high-power transmit sites with a large talk out range, and low-powered mobile and portable radios with a relatively small talkback range.
“The IP25 Voter extends the talkback range of conventional mobile and portable radios,” said Michael E. Jalbert, chairman and chief executive officer of EFJ, Inc. “It works with geographically dispersed receive sites to improve your coverage. Because it supports analog, Project 25 digital, clear or encrypted communications, it is ideal for any conventional system. EFJohnson remains committed to conventional infrastructure systems.”
A single IP25 Voter can support up to 16 receivers operating on the same frequency. Its inherent IP architecture enables low cost, single-site or wide area systems, and simple implementation of features such as multicast and transmitter steering. An intuitive browser-based interface simplifies voting system management. The company began shipping the IP25 Voter in the second quarter to several state and local customers.
