MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was transported to the hospital after being ejected when an ambulance and vehicle collided on a highway Tuesday afternoon.
It is unclear which vehicle the man was ejected from, although it appears the man was not a patient in the ambulance, reported WMC Action News 5.
The man has been upgraded from critical to non-critical condition, reported WREG.
“I can’t believe it,” Demsey Cooper, a witness, told the station. “I saw the ambulance -- that’s something you don’t see every day, an ambulance involved in a wreck. And I just wanted to stop to make sure everybody was OK.”
Another individual was also transported to the hospital and is in non-critical condition.
