ROGERS, Ark. — A woman being treated at the Siloam Springs Hospital early Wednesday morning was arrested after police say she stole an ambulance, led police on a chase, then tried to hide next to a barn.
Police said Dedra Noah, 27, of Gentry, was being treated for abdominal pain and pain from a broken leg at Siloam Springs Hospital, when she got upset and was removed from the emergency room by hospital staff.
Investigators said Noah jumped into an ambulance that had just pulled into the facility and took off.
Noah and the ambulance were spotted about 15 minutes later, a deputy said. The deputy tried to stop Noah, but said she refused to pull over. Investigators said Noah turned in next to a barn to hide, where she was arrested.
Noah was taken back to the hospital to be treated for the leg and stomach pain. Officers said she will likely face charges of theft, reckless driving and felony fleeing.
