A Hazleton man who police say committed knife-point robbery Friday in his work uniform faces numerous charges following his arrest

HAZLETON, Pa. — A Hazleton man who state police say committed a knife-point robbery of Turkey Hill Minit Mart on Route 309 in Hazle Township early Friday in his work uniform faces numerous charges following his arrest.

James J. Rabbitz, 38, of West Diamond Avenue, was wearing a Tech Transport ambulance service uniform when he entered the store around 3:06 a.m. and got a cup of coffee, police said.

He told clerk Donna Hildebrand that he forgot his money inside his car, a Ford Focus, and left the store, police said. Rabbitz returned, pulled 27 cents from his left pants pocket and then pulled a pocket knife from his left pocket, police said.
