Medics treat woman who stripped in Denver airport

Passenger was ordered to put out cigarette, taken to hospital for psychiatric, other evaluations

DENVER — A woman who stripped naked after being ordered to put her cigarette out at Denver International Airport Tuesday won’t face charges, Denver police said Wednesday.

The passenger was taken into custody on Concourse B and then turned taken away to an unspecified hospital for psychiatric and other medical evaluations, authorities said.

“That was a medical issue,” Detective John White, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department. “She was turned over to paramedics; it’s not a police matter.”

No information has been released, including her name, age and flight destination, because of medical privacy laws.
