JALANDHAR, India — Two ambulance workers in India fought with swords inside a hospital for the job to transport a deceased person to a different city.
One of the men was seriously injured and admitted to the hospital, The Tribune reported.
A family hired one of the men, Vikki, for the transport at a fixed rate. Another man, Sukhi, offered to complete the ambulance transport at a lower rate. The men began to fight when Sukhi drew a sword out of his ambulance and struck Vikki’s leg.
Police say Vikki was admitted to the hospital and Sukki, who has reportedly been involved in other fights, fled the scene.
