STAFFORDSHIRE, England — UK medics braved potato fields surrounded by barbed wire to reach a fallen hiker.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said that the woman in her 60s was walking when she tripped in Staffordshire, according to the Birmingham Mail.
“Getting to her involved going along a track that is unsuitable for vehicles and crossing potato fields and barbed wire fencing,” the spokesman said.
“Crews got to her, and her arm was put into a splint and she was given pain relief then securely placed onto a stretcher.”
