MEDFORD, Ore. — A woman caught a child who fell from the roof of a three-story building in Ore. Sunday. was caught by a woman who saw the toddler from across the street.

Kristen Beach was standing outside of her apartment building and speaking with her mother when she heard screaming from across the street, according to The Mail Tribune.

Beach rushed over to assist the child while her mother called 911.

After yelling for the boy’s mother or any other family member with no response, Beach spent two minutes speaking with the child before telling him that she would catch him if he let go of the roof.

“After one or two minutes, the boy let go,” the woman’s mother told The Mail Tribune. “She caught him, and the only thing I saw was his little feet hit the ground. She just scooped him up in her arms.”

“If my baby was in the same predicament, I would hope somebody else would do the same thing,” Beach said.
