Pa. man attacks, aims blood at paramedic during transport

Police say the man stuck the paramedic in the abdomen and ripped out an IV

SUNBURY, Pa. — A Pennsylvania man was arrested for allegedly attacking a paramedic in an ambulance and attempting to get blood on her after ripping out an IV.

Keith Elliott, 23, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after the incident, which began when he was reportedly struck by a vehicle on his bike, according to The Daily Item.

After being placed in the ambulance, Elliott allegedly hit the paramedic multiple times in her abdomen before tearing out an IV and trying to squirt blood on her and a police officer.

The suspect had to be medically sedated upon arrival to the hospital, according to police.

Police also said Elliot smelled of alcohol and there was no apparent damage to his bike. He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and his bail was set at $100,000.
