YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — A paramedic was assaulted Sunday morning while responding to reports of an inebriated woman.
The Vindicator reported that V’Aira Janelle Vaughn-Lewis, 21, was arrested after kicking a paramedic in the head multiple times. Police said Vaughn-Lewis appeared to be drunk after being found on a man’s porch.
Vaughn-Lewis refused to tell police who could take her home. As a result, police proceeded to call for an ambulance.
However, Vaughn-Lewis became aggressive when officers confiscated her cell phone and she kicked the paramedic several times before being restrained.
At this time, it is unclear what injuries the paramedic sustained.
