PATRICK COUNTY, Va. — An EMT has been let go for alleged racist comments.
ABC 13 reported that Alex McNabb was terminated after a 9-0 vote by the Jeb Stuart Rescue Squad, after reports surfaced that McNabb was comparing black patients to gorillas.

McNabb had originally been placed on unpaid leave during an investigation by the Virginia Department of Health, which found no wrongdoing on his part. However, the rescue squad felt termination was necessary.
Wren Williams, attorney for the rescue squad, said it was the best way to “regain trust in the community.”
