NORTH VERSAILLES, Pa. — A woman was charged Saturday with assault after fighting with an EMT at an intersection. The altercation was caught on video by a bystander.
Police reports stated that Patricia Thompson approached EMT Holly Heatherdale and claimed her vehicle was hit by the ambulance.
Heatherdale told police she wasn’t aware that she hit the car, and claimed she was pulled out of the ambulance by Thompson, who began to hit her in the face and shoulder.
“I didn’t see anybody actually pull anybody from the car, but I did see flying and fists flailing,” Brian Dougherty, a bystander at the scene said.
Thompson called 911 and reported a hit-and-run.
CBS Pittsburgh reported that after police were called to the scene, Thompson was charged with aggravated assault, harassment and simple assault.
