Ohio EMS agency CEO arrested, charged with theft

ELYRIA, Ohio — David Richards, CEO and president of LifeCare Ambulance Inc., was arrested by Elyria police on Thursday and charged with theft by deception, according to WKYC.

The Elyria Police Department said the investigation was triggered by accusations of unauthorized charges.

Richards has been taken to jail, and the investigation is ongoing.

City administrators are said to have been in contact with the EMS agency, and LifeCare told them there would be no disruption of service.
