Vehicle in service for 11 years

Patients are being carried to hospitals in Yorkshire in an ambulance which has clocked up an astonishing 360,000 miles.
The vehicle, which has travelled the equivalent of 14 times around the world, is based in Thirsk and transports seriously ill and injured people between hospitals in the area.
According to details released to the Yorkshire Post under the Freedom of Information Act, it has been on the roads for 11 years and is among the oldest in Yorkshire, although it is not used on 999 calls. ...
