ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A stabbing victim crashed into a fire truck while driving to seek help early Saturday on the city’s west side, according to 13WHAM.com.
The 23-year-old man was dropping a woman off at a home in Rochester when he was stabbed several times in his upper body after trying to intervene in a fight, reported 13WHAM.com.
According to police, the victim drove away and attempted to flag down a firefighter for medical assistance. 13WHAM.com reported that he instead passed out and crashed into the side of the fire truck.
He was taken to Strong Hospital where he is reported to be in guarded but stable condition. Police have identified a suspect and no firefighters were hurt in the incident.
