COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The National EMS Memorial Service today announced the opening of the enrollment period for the 2012 National EMS Memorial Service Honor Guard.
The National EMS Memorial Service Honor Guard is a composite unit of honor guards, color guards and pipes & drum units from across the United States. It is comprised of units from both career and volunteer agencies, from small towns to large urban centers across the country.
In addition to the important part the Honor Guard plays during the Memorial Service itself, segments of the unit serve important roles during the course of the Memorial Service Weekend.
Enrollment is open to any U.S. EMS Honor Guard or Pipes & Drum unit. The only requirement is that your unit possess complete “Class A” uniforms.
The 2012 National EMS Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Colorado Springs. Units interested in participating should submit a letter of intent on your agency’s letterhead by Friday, June 1, 2012, to Jack Glass, Honor Guard Coordinator, National EMS Memorial Service, 2910 N. Powers Blvd. #119, Colorado Springs, CO 80922-2818.
Letters may also be faxed to 719-623-0097.
