ADENA, Ohio — An off-duty Ohio firefighter-paramedic was killed Sunday in a hunting accident.
Ty Marlin, 46, of the Twinsburg Fire Department, died when a gun handled by his son, 15, accidentally discharged, according to The Beacon Journal.
The report said Firefighter-paramedic Marlin was unloading a four-wheeler during a one-day hunting trip in Adena when the accident happened.
He had been with the department since 1993 and also served in a part-time capacity with the city of Streetsboro, as well as the Summit County Hazmat and Water Rescue teams, according to Fox8.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
