WARRENSBURG, New York — A member of the Warrensburg Emergency Medical Services was arrested Monday after he allegedly raped a former girlfriend at the squad headquarters on King Street a day earlier, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.
The 25-year-old woman told investigators she was raped by Robert Chenier, 25, of Burke Drive in Queensbury, in the sleeping quarters of the squad building on Sunday. The woman said she went to the building to visit Chenier, but alleges he forced her to have sex with her. He was on-duty at the time, deputies said.
Chenier was charged with rape and sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility on $40,000 cash bail or $80,000 bond.
