Great Falls government should take firm control of local emergency medical services, a consulting firm says in a report.
“We have the pieces of a system, but we don’t have a system,” City Manager John Lawton told city commissioners last month. “The city has the clout and the resources. We can call the shots. We can design the system and then they (ambulance firms) can fulfill it.”
Stability is one goal, according to consultants with The Abaris Group. The report said Great Falls has had six different private ambulance companies transport patients in the last 14 years. ...
