PEORIA, Ill. — Jeff Lickiss is mad.
As a paramedic who used to teach emergency services, Lickiss recently saw first-hand how deficient Peoria’s fire and ambulance system can be. And he plans to say so at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
Lickiss’ 16-year-old daughter was involved in a three-car accident at University Street and Forrest Hill Avenue on Dec. 27 when her car was hit, spun around and then hit again head-on by another car. She was trapped inside with a broken ankle and in a lot of pain.
