RICHMOND, Ind. — Four people suffered minor injuries when a car making a left turn struck an ambulance on an emergency run Friday morning.
The driver of the car, Maria E. Ryder of New Paris, Ohio, told police she was looking for a bar and probably had her radio on too loudly when she turned left from the far right lane on Main Street in downtown Richmond, about 70 miles east of Indianapolis.
The accident happened just before 3 a.m. and caused the ambulance to swerve and hit a utility pole attached to a traffic signal.
