Emergency room services are heading to sea.
With the purchase of a new, 22-foot rigid hull inflatable, Tequesta’s Public Safety Department is expanding paramedic services so that those who become sick or injured while enjoying surrounding waters don’t have to wait to reach the dock before receiving medical assistance.
“It’s been needed for a long time, like it’s needed throughout the county,” Fire-Rescue Spokesman Peter Allen said.
Tequesta is only the second agency countywide to offer on-water paramedic services. ...
