Fire, police and emergency medical service leaders have some six weeks to get out into Collier County neighborhoods and convince residents that a home adjacent to a station house isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Collier commissioners on Wednesday evening agreed — in concept — to change county land use rules to allow construction of fire, police or EMS stations in residential neighborhoods without first going through a conditional use process.
