The Mazon-Verona-Kinsman Ambulance Squad is suffering a shortage of emergency medical technicians and community members aren’t very happy about it.
More than 30 people gathered in Mazon’s Amer-ican Legion Hall Tuesday night for a special meeting, which featured a few flare ups and the grilling of the MVK Ambulance Squad Board for the lack of certified EMTs.
The local controversy sprung up after statistics showed the MVK Ambulance Squad had to transfer 51 emergency calls to adjacent agencies because it was understaffed.
