These are the Cool-Aides of Rescue 419 in Palouse, Washington.

They are everyday moms, sisters, wives and working women who volunteer as First Responders in our small town of 1,000.

They respond to calls late in the night after a hard day of work and taken care of their own families and friends.

The crew is small but tight knit and understanding of each others’ needs and strengths on the crew.

Our small city is very lucky to have such wonderful women volunteers and they are good examples to the young women of our community by their dedication and giving to the community their time and learn knowledge.

Many in Palouse are grateful to them when there is a 911 call. They comfort elderly when sick, calm children when needed and help their neighbors when they are shy about needing the EMTs.

Being in a small town you know everyone either by friendships or site so responding to a call to a neighbor could be uncomfortable, but these woman know how to comfort and ease the worry of a medical or trauma call. They are the very best.

Everyday they show me and the community how to be a hero.
