The union representing city paramedics says there are too many bosses running emergency medical services and not enough frontline workers.
Randy Littlechild, president of the paramedics’ union, said yesterday Edmonton EMS is too “top heavy,” with one manager for every 12 union employees.
In comparison, Calgary’s ambulance service has one manager for every 33 employees, he said.
