LOS ANGELES — Doctors made another attempt late Tuesday to slowly reduce the medication keeping Bryan Stow in a coma, nearly four weeks after the brutal attack on the Giants fan after a game at Dodger Stadium.
The attack has struck a chord with many, and family members of the Santa Cruz father of two and Santa Clara paramedic continue to express gratitude for the overwhelming support they have received, and continue to hope for his recovery.
On March 31, Stow attended the season opener between the Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Two assailants attacked him as he and friends were leaving the stadium, repeatedly punching and kicking him. Stow has a severe skull fracture and has been in a medically induced coma at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.
Doctors have tried to take him out of the coma four or five times, his cousin, John Stow, said Wednesday.
But on previous attempts, Stow suffered seizures and the medication was resumed.
