Bus Had Just Picked Up Hill Middle School Students

DENVER — A school bus loaded with 24 students from Hill Middle School crashed into a house near Fifth Avenue and Albion Street on Wednesday afternoon, sending 16 students and three adults to five local hospitals, most with minor injuries.
Police continued to investigate the cause of the accident Thursday. Several students on the bus said the driver may have gotten distracted after turning around in her seat and reaching for something behind her. The school district is also conducting its own investigation of the crash.
The bus driver, and four students were transported to University Hospital. Three others went to Rose Medical Center; six others to Denver Health; two kids were taken to Children’s Hospital and three were transported to St. Anthony Medical Center. ...
