Critical care and EMS education center opens in Pa.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Officials have announced the opening of the new Pennsylvania Institute of Applied Health Sciences, housed at the new Waynesboro Ambulance Service facility on Route 16.

While details of the new venture were unavailable at press time, the organization’s web stie said the Institute provides medical education in critical care and EMA to the region’s health care professionals. It stated that a distinguished faculty led by experienced critical care and emergency physicians offers the most rigorous training available and in a supportive and caring environment.

Training is slated to take place at the Waynesboro Ambulance Squad Complex, hospital clinical sites at Waynesboro Hospital, Gettysburg Hospital, Penn State University Hospital and Chambersburg Hospital and ALC clinical sites with Franklin County Medic 2, Adams County Medic 28 and Washington County, Md.
