OCEAN CITY, Md. — Carbon monoxide detectors may be required in Ocean City hotels following the deaths of vacationers last month.
Patrick Boughter, 40, and his 10-year-old daughter, Kelly, of Lebanon, Pa., died at a Days Inn where they were staying on vacation. Boughter’s wife, Yvonne, and another daughter, Morgan, were sickened. The hotel did not have carbon monoxide detectors.
Ocean City Fire Marshal Sam Villani said the town is now considering an ordinance to require carbon monoxide detectors in homes and hotels.
