CARSON, Calif. — Authorities have arrested a man they say stabbed to death two women, wounded a man and barricaded himself naked in a Los Angeles County home.
Thirty-one-year-old Virgil Tate was arrested Sunday night and remains jailed on $1 million bail.
A report of a man with a knife sent sheriff’s deputies to a condominium in the unincorporated area near Carson around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Lt. Holly Francisco tells City News Service that a wounded man ran out as they arrived. The36-year-old was hospitalized in stable condition.
Inside, deputies found a 32-year-old woman dead and her suspected killer had blockaded the door of a back bedroom. A SWAT team broke in and found the naked man and the body of a 58-year-old woman.
There’s no word on a motive for the attack.
