COLCHESTER, Vt. — A 21-year-old Vermont woman paid a visit to the hospital after she was bitten by a black widow spider.
After visiting Shaw’s in Colchester, the woman apparently went home with the creepy crawler in her bag of grapes.
Her mother said when she reached into the bag of produce, the spider crawled up her arm and bit her. She said they then caught the spider and took it and her daughter to the hospital. A nurse confirmed to WPTZ that it was in fact a black widow.
