SAN ANTONIO — Two Texas EMS providers were hurt after a driver allegedly ran a red light, struck their ambulance and then fled the scene.
Police said the Acadian Ambulance rig rolled over after being struck by a car, and that the driver of the car ran away on foot immediately after the collision, according to News 4 San Antonio. A paramedic and an EMT inside the rig sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Police later located and arrested the suspect in the hit-and-run. The identity of the suspect was not released.
The rig was not transporting a patient or responding to a call at the time of the crash.
