EDMONTON, Ky. — An ambulance was involved in a four-vehicle crash Monday night on the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway, WCLU Radio reported.

A person driving semi-truck swerved to avoid a construction barrel on the road, according to state police. The truck overturned, blocking the roadway. A good Samaritan stopped their vehicle to help at the scene, but another driver who did not see the truck in the road crashed into it, as well as the good Samaritan.

Then an ambulance crashed into the semi and one of the cars; there was no word as to whether a patient was in the ambulance at the time.

The woman who was injured after stopping her vehicle to help after the original crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.
